Dave Carey Appointed Port Deposit Town Attorney
Brings 15 Years Experience as Elected Official to Cecil County Municipality
"I am pleased to have been asked by Mayor Tome and the Port Deposit Town Council to serve as their attorney and I look forward to putting my legal background, as well as my 15 years of experience as an elected official, to good use," says Carey.
As Town Attorney, Carey is required to attend all Town Council meetings of the town of Port Deposit, Maryland, which is an independent municipality in Cecil County similar to Bel Air, Aberdeen and Havre de Grace in Harford County. Carey will provide legal advice and opinions to the elected Councilmen, Town Administrator Rodney Heinze, and their staff, especially covering matters such as leases, personnel and procurement issues.
"We feel quite privileged to get him here," Heinze added.
